KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — This is a slow week for food trucks. With Thanksgiving this week, many plan to spend time with family and take a break. It's time to give thanks and enter the season of giving. That's why I wanted to share this event with you.
On Sunday, Dec. 13 local food truck association, RDU Mobile Food Association (RDUMFA), will host their Rudolph’s Holiday Rodeo. A portion of the sales from this food truck rodeo will go to Meals on Wheels of Wake County.

The event takes place at Knightdale Station Park (810 N First Ave.) from noon to 4 p.m.

Food trucks participating include Bo’s Kitchen, Caffe Bellezza, Captain Ponchos, CockADoodleMoo, Dusty Donuts, Mama Voula’s, OMG Chicken, Philly’s, Pho Nomenal Dumpling, Route Bistro, Sarge’s, Stuft, Sweet Traditions, Thai Box Zing and Will & Pop’s.

In addition to serving, the trucks will also be decorated for the holidays. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to watch the the decorations go up and vote for their favorite display.

In addition to the food trucks, Bull City Ciderworks and Nickelpoint Brewing will be onsite to serve guests. TapSnap will have a photo booth to take pictures during the event. Santa is also a food truck fan and has planned on making a visit on a food truck to spread holiday cheer.

Admission is free.
