More than 70 breweries will be participating in North Carolina Beer Month starting April 2..

RALEIGH, N.C. — More than 70 breweries will be participating in North Carolina Beer Month starting April 1. The third-annual event will feature special brews, dinners and other collaborations.

We will be updating the schedule as more events are added for the Triangle area. Here's what's planned so far:

April 1: Cask on Fools - Twenty-three breweries and casks will be featured at this event at Crank Arm Brewing in Raleigh.
April 2: NC Beer Month Kickoff with Big Boss Brewery at The Glass Jug in Durham - Starting at 5 p.m., this kick event will feature three rare and limited release Big Boss beers on draft. Visitors can partake in free samples, swag and can enter to win pint glasses.
April 3: Trophy Brewing Cask at Glass Jug in Durham - The beer is a new Saison (the name is TBD) which has been dry hopped with Vic Secret hops (a new fruity Australian hop) and conditioned on Apricots.
April 2: Meet the Maker - Our State magazine hosts this event at Top of the Hill in Chapel Hill that will feature a panel of six brewers, plus food and beer pairings.
April 3-5: Deep River Brewing's 2nd year anniversary - Celebrate this Clayton brewery's anniversary with special casks, food trucks and more.
April 4: Brewer Olympics - Six local breweries will be competing in eight different events throughout the course of the day. The events include feats of both knowledge and strength.
April 4: Beards & Beers Pop-up Dinner in downtown Raleigh - Six James Beard-recognized chefs from across the state will pair up with their favorite local breweries to collaborate on a unique beer and dish. The location hasn't been revealed yet, and will only be given to those with tickets a day or two before the event.
April 6: Nickelpoint/Manna food truck dinner - These two team up for a five course food beer pairing in celebration of N.C. Beer Month.
April 7: Hop into Spring Dinner featuring Deep River Brewing - Cameron Bar and Grill in Raleigh hosts this four-course beer-inspired meal with beer pairings.
April 8: Tastes of Thai Dinner featuring Bombshell Beer - This five-course dinner at Zinda in downtown Raleigh will feature pairings from Bombshell.
April 10: Cask Beer Tasting featuring Haw River Farmhouse Ales at The Glass Jug - At 5 pm every Friday in April, The Glass Jug is tapping a cask of beer from a different North Carolina brewery.
April 11: World Beer Festival Raleigh - The annual event will feature more than 250 craft and specialty beers from around the world.
April 11: Savor Fuquay-Varina - This culinary event will feature a beer and wine garden.
April 11:Craft Brew Fest at Ruckus in Cary - Live music and brewing demos.
April 16: Raleigh Beer Guide Vol. 3 Release Party - Head to World of Beer in North Hills to taste new and rarely seen beers from all Wake County craft breweries. Also enjoy some free food, while it lasts.
April 16: Piedmont dinner benefiting Carolina Farm Stewardship Association - This four course meal is $45 and for an additional $20 you can get beer pairings from Fullsteam, Mystery and Ponysaurus.
April 17: Cask Beer Tasting Featuring Big Boss Brewery at the Glass Jug - At 5 pm every Friday in April, The Glass Jug is tapping a cask of beer from a different North Carolina brewery.
April 18: 'Cuegrass Festival in downtown Raleigh - The Pit's 7th annual event that combines great barbecue, beer and bluegrass kicks off at noon in the warehouse district.
April 18: Three Eagles Beer Festival - There will be regional craft breweries, food and music at this Goldsboro event.
April 19: Umstead Untapped Series: Raleigh Brewing - Enjoy a selection of brews and savory small bites on the outdoor terrace at The Umstead in Cary from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person.
April 22: Strange Cargo at Big Boss - Sample several Strange Cargo barrel aged beers in one place.
April 25: Brewgaloo in downtown Raleigh - This local craft beer festival presented by Shop Local Raleigh is always a huge highlight of NC Beer Month. There will local craft beer, food trucks and music.
April 26: Lonerider Beer Dinner at Academy Street Bistro - A four-course meal paired with some great Lonerider beers.
April 26:Umstead Untapped Series: Fullsteam Brewery - Enjoy a selection of brews and savory small bites on the outdoor terrace at The Umstead in Cary from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person.
April 28: JUGs (Just Us Gals) NC Beer Social at The Glass Jug - The venue will be open for regular business during this event, but the idea is to have a special event for ladies to congregate and chat about beer.
Outside the Triangle:

April 3-5: Kinston Beer Weekend - This three day event includes a beer dinner pairing that teams PBS' "A Chef's Life" star Vivian Howard with award-winning Mother Earth Brewing. Also on tap, a Brews Cruise and a downtown Barbecue, Oysters and Beer Bash.
April 4: Frontstretch Fest in Raeford - The Stoneybrook Steeplechase adds an infield festival celebrating beer, bourbon and bites.

April 25: Hickory Hops - This festival features handcrafted North Carolina beer from more than 50 micro-breweries and the Carolinas Championship of Beer.
