A freshman at Appalachian State University from Cary was found dead in her dormitory Thursday, school officials said.

No foul play is suspected in the death of Keegan Garratt, 19, officials said, but they provided no other details.
Counselors were on the university campus Thursday to help students and others affected by her death, officials said.
