Apex Police Department launches mobile app

Posted December 2, 2014

Apex police

— The Apex Police Department has launched a mobile app that allows users to access sex offender registries, useful town telephone numbers and information about community programs.

The app, which is available in the Apple iTunes store and Google Play store, will also allow residents to log their valuables on their mobile device. The app saves item descriptions, serial numbers and photos of electronics, jewelry, laptops, video-gaming systems and more. In the event they are stolen, the list can be emailed to the police department.

The app will use the location service on smartphones to allow residents to access the sex offender registry throughout Apex and Wake County.

The app will also include contact information for school resource officers in the town.

how about anything that reports to the police?

and considering a smart phone is a hot item to be stolen, let's let the thief know what else we have...

seems like Apex would place more emphasis on a reporting crime app that uses a smartphone camera rather than telephone numbers and sex offender apps already in use. No need to plagiarize other apps and take credit making it sound original for Apex?
