Apex Outfitter moving into downtown Raleigh

Apex Outfitter and Board Co. will be moving into downtown Raleigh, officials announced Tuesday during the State of Downtown Raleigh meeting.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Apex Outfitter and Board Co. will be moving into downtown Raleigh, officials announced Tuesday during the State of Downtown Raleigh meeting.
The outdoor store, which is locally owned and operated, will be located in the current home of DECO at 19 W. Hargett St. DECO, known for its unique gifts and items from local artisans, will be moving this spring around the corner. It will be combining with its sister store, DECO Home, at 207 S. Salisbury St.
Apex Outfitter was established in 2009 and originally called Tobacco Road Outdoors. The store offers high-quality apparel and accessories, skateboards, longboards, stand-up paddle boards and more equipment.

This will be Apex Outfitter's second store. Its flagship location is at 225 N. Salem St. in Apex.

Also announced during the State of Downtown meeting, flower shop Petale will open a location at 15 W. Hargett St. in May.
