APEX, N.C. — The Apex Police Department on Tuesday offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for a series of house fires in town since last fall.

On Sept. 7, a home in the Olive Chapel Park subdivision, formerly known as L'Hermitage at Beaver Creek, was set on fire and destroyed. A second home in the subdivision, off Olive Chapel Road, was set ablaze Saturday, police said.

On Oct. 18, a home in the Chapel Ridge subdivision, also located off Olive Chapel Road, was also destroyed by fire.

Police said the fires were suspicious because the homes were unoccupied.

Anyone with information about the fires is asked to call the Apex Police Department's Criminal Investigative Division at 919-362-8661.
