— Police arrested an Apex man Wednesday who they say smoked marijuana with a teenager.

Investigators said that David Howard Hartings, of 310 Wrenn St., smoked marijuana with a 14-year-old last December. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found on him during his arrest this week, police said.

@Z Man, would you care if I walked around tossing Asbestos fibers in the air...around you & your children...around your wife? Or even your family dog?

What if this action was physically addictive & it was hard for me stop? What if 3000 children were recruited...every day...to toss Asbestos fibers around their middleschool & highschool friends? What if this action killed 1/3 of users & also a good % of those who were just exposed to the fibers? What if major corporations make huge profits on the sale of these fibers by marketing to the less educated & the young?...and then tried to hide & lie about the effects of it all?

All of this is what cigarettes and their manufacturers already do. This is reality.

Does that help you see why people might want cancer-causing smoke clouds controlled...or ended completely? If not, when can I come over to your house and toss around some Asbestos fibers? It’s fun. It makes you feel good. All the kids are doing it. You should try it... ;-)

deport him!!!!!Its funny in the articles that involve Black and Latinos the golo bloggers make a point to view race is a factor and in a article like this about the pothead adult and teenager, "lets go easy on him" Are we missing something here?

Not to worry, dugmeister. The sarcasm was thick in that post. Although it is a little scary how many people think that way (I suppose 'refuse to think' would be more appropriate).

Usually when a 38 year old man offers mind-altering drugs to teenagers, there is an ulterior motive.

"I know this because my government told me so."

Man oh man.. I sure hope that was sarcasm. Sometimes it's hard to tell.. please oh please tell me that was sarcasm.

Legalizing alcohol has worked SO well at erasing any crimes involving alcohol.
Crimes involving alcohol - drunk driving, drunk and disorderly, domestic abuse, aggravated assault, etc., etc.

Crimes involving pot - buying/selling/possessing/smoking pot

I said, at least it was done in a safe place!

What is wrong with you - that you do not see that doing drugs with a kid or anyone else is WRONG????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's right, people! You're all WICKED and EVIL!!! Sure, pot smokers are among the nicest, most peaceful people you'll ever meet, but by God it's WRONG!!!! I know this because my government told me so.

I bet you $1 there is a vindictive witch of a mother behind this arrest, causing problems for both the man and the 14-year-old purely out of spite.
