— Apex police arrested a man for a second time in a week on charges relating to child pornography.

James Richard Davis, 46, was initially charged Wednesday with six counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor for duplicating images of child porn. He posted bond but was taken into custody again Friday afternoon on an additional four charges.

According to the warrants for his arrest, Davis had sexually explicit images of young girls on his computer. In a search of his home, at 1102 Apache Lane, police seized two computers and two external hard drives, along with computer peripherals.

Davis was being held on $100,000 bond.

Yes, the charges are awful, but this man did not create/make the pornography and he did not touch anyone. He viewed and then probably forwarded the material, based one what has been reported. We also aren't given any specifics as to what the material actually was - a small child or perhaps it was a teenager who may have looked like an adult but was really 17. There is a big difference between the two, but they both fall under the same crime label.

There are a lot of people every day who battle some sort of inner demons or have addictions - some publicly, but most in private. Alcohol, pornography, shopping, gambling, gossiping...there are so many things. Let's remember this man probably has a family at home that is already hurting. No need to make it worse.

Scary - we almost bought the house with a backyard facing this man's home in 1998.

Amazing the contrast in this story versus the good looking Coach from Johnston County. The police in that case found enough evidence to arrest him, yet people say it's just not possible. Yet, people are ready to crucify on this story.

in some states the consent age is 16 years old. I think Tracy lords was 16 or 17 when she made some adult porn, and they had to take that off the market. you must be 18 to legally make porn and then the company who makes it must keep consent forms on file.

the production of the visual depiction involves the use of a minor (under 18) engaging in sexually explicit conduct; or

the visual depiction is a digital image, computer image, or computer-generated image that is, or is indistinguishable from, that of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct; or

the visual depiction has been created, adapted, or modified to appear that an identifiable minor is engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

....did he plead guilty the first time? dollibug
March 30, 2012 5:30 p.m.....No you would had to do some reading, but he being the charged for the same thing, just different lanuages, since the investigation was not complete. It looks as if they're determine to keep em in jail, which I don't have a problem with.

Some people never learn....I guess we just assume he is guilty though....did he plead guilty the first time? There are weird and strange people everywhere and some of them NEVER GET CAUGHT....

This is scary. Not to mention this creep lives 1.25 miles from my house (I have two daughters, too.) but the neighborhood he lives in has a TON of kids!! I'm so glad he was caught and hopefully they hand him the harshest punishment possible.

What is child porn on the internet? is it below 16 or 18? Is it actual sexual acts or nudity? Define YOUNG. Do you reckon the internet has brought perverts together or are there more of them, or were they always lots out there and we just weren't catching them WITHOUT the internet?

people who enjoy child porn are selfish. it's one thing to get off on something most people don't, but don't these people realize that they are looking at victims of abuse? abuse happened to produce these images, guys. quit being so selfish!
