Garner, N.C. — Wake County sheriff's officials were investigating a double-shooting at 1100 Creech Road, near Creech Road Elementary School in Garner, Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews took a man and a woman to WakeMed, according to authorities. Their names and conditions were not released.
The school was on a Code Yellow lockdown as a precaution, which has been lifted. "Code Yellow" means the schools' exterior doors were locked, according to Garner police.
Authorities declined to release more information. They sent the media to a staging area at the school at 450 Creech Road.
Why are they doing this? The event did not occur at the school so why the need for media to congregate there?
