Any special plans for Valentine's Day?

Do you all have any special (and possibly frugal) plans for Valentine's Day? For those still thinking about what to do this evening, maybe suggestions from others may help.

Do you all have any special (and possibly frugal) plans for Valentine's Day? For those still thinking about what to do this evening, maybe suggestions from others may help.

I started the day with heart shaped French toast (pictured above) and gift bags with little goodies for the girls (also pictured above).

My husband and I bought ourselves a new bed last month which we both agreed counts as an awesome Valentine's gift! So, we decided to do a very goofy Valentine's challenge and only spend $3 or less on the other person's gift. I bought him a big bag of his favorite Life Savers mints and made him a card. I can't wait to see what he came up with!

Tonight involves a homemade red themed dinner including:

Appetizer: Sliced RED peppers with red pepper hummus dip (red peppers on sale at Aldi this week through 2/14 for $1.89/3-pack)

Baked cheese ravioli with RED sauce – a favorite dish of my girls (Celentano frozen ravioli on sale BOGO at Harris Teeter through 2/14)

Sliced RED tomatoes with mozzarella and Italian dressing (tomatoes on sale at Aldi for .99/lb through 2/14)

Cheesecake with lots of RED strawberries and blueberries on top (strawberries on sale at Aldi for $1.39/lb through 2/14 and $1.50/lb at Kroger through 2/18).

I’m going to decorate the kitchen while they are at school today so it has an overwhelming red and white theme with red streamers, a few red and white balloons, red tablecloth with white plates, etc.

What are you doing to say I Love You this Valentine's Day?
