ANOTHER Savingstar Friday Freebie: Hershey's bar!

Posted November 7, 2014

SavingStar.com just sent out an e-mail that they are offering ANOTHER Friday Freebie this week: a Hershey's chocolate bar, 1.55 oz.!  Check your SavingStar.com account to see if you received this deal as well.  You have until 11/9 to purchase this offer.  Remember, the discount does not come off at the register with this cash back site. Read the details about how it works below.

The other Friday Freebie offer for this week is Newman's Own Greek Yogurt, 5.3 oz.  You have until 11/9/14 to get this offer.  Check back every Friday for a new freebie.

There are some additional new offers for King Arthur Signature Flour, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, Kraft mac & cheese and Wasa crackers!

And remember, you have until 11/10 to get 20% cash back on your purchase of bananas at participating stores with SavingStar.com.

You can load the offers to your SavingStar.com account. One time use only.

New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

With the cash back site SavingStar.com, you don't print out a coupon to redeem at the register. You enter your store reward card numbers on the SavingStar website (for those stores that have them), then load digital coupons to your reward cards, buy the participating products at any of the participating stores and then the coupon savings are added to your SavingStar account a couple weeks after your purchase.

There are a number of participating stores in our area including Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Kroger, Family Dollar and Rite Aid.  With some of the stores (Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger and Family Dollar), you will need to take a photo of the receipt through their app or website and submit it to get your cash back.

Once you have accrued $5 worth of savings in your SavingStar account, you can cash the savings. You can choose to have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to a non-profit organization. Sometime in November, there will be additional payout options available that do not include a bank account (probably other gift cards).

My favorite aspect of this site is that you can use a hard copy coupon at the register for a product that also offers a SavingStar e-coupon (at least for now)!

According to the SavingStar.com website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double.  See more details and sign up at SavingStar.com.
