Annual Raleigh fire truck parade on hiatus

The parade is part of the South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo, an annual event that brings all kinds of fire and emergency professionals and vendors to Raleigh.

I've gotten some emails and questions about the fire truck parade that usually rolls through Raleigh in August.

The parade is part of the South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo, an annual event that brings all kinds of fire and emergency professionals and vendors to Raleigh. This year and next year, however, the expo will be held in downtown Charlotte, which means no fire truck parade in Raleigh this year.

The expo will return to Raleigh in 2018.
