Angier police seeking public's help to identify robbery suspects

Angier police are asking for the public's help to identify two men responsible for the Thursday night armed robbery of a Dollar General store on N.C. Highway 55.

Angier police are asking for the public's help to identify two men responsible for the Thursday night armed robbery of a Dollar General store on N.C. Highway 55. 

According to investigators, two men entered the store at about 9:45 p.m. and robbed the clerks at gunpoint. 

The men forced the clerks to open the cash registers, took money and also stole cigarettes. The suspects had a semi-automatic pistol and ran from the store, police said. 

No injuries were reported. 

One suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, and the other had on a black toboggan. One is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds, and the other is about 6 foot 3 inches tall. Authorities said the taller suspect may have a scar or tattoo on the right side of his neck.
