Jdixon 2 I really think it's rude of you to say "What a price to pay for it". As someone who knew Ronnie and was family, I am very sad that you are so insensitive.Ronnie was a good man countless times he would stop by my grandparents to say hey and check on them as well as bring them their mail. Ronnie worked for the town of Hillsborough and just retired in December. He was well loved and respected in Hillsborough NC. Ronnie walked every where he went he couldn't drive a car. He was on his was from getting his grocerys from walmart when the accident happened. He attended church almost every sunday and never hardly missed one. We are very sad about this loss.So before you are so insensitive next time think before you speak.

Price to pay is exactly right, since the person has been killed don't you think pedestrian is a more gentle term for the family.

Pedestrian is probably not the best term for this person. The more accurate description would be trespasser. People who walk the tracks are just that trespassers. The tracks are owned/leased to the railroad. What a price to pay for it.
