The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh will mark the grand opening of American Adventure on Saturday.

This very active exhibit, which is described as a maze, takes museum visitors through what it was like to survive colonial America in 1607 when settlers first landed here. In addition to lots of information, there's also a small zip-line, climbing wall and more to keep the kids entertained ... and active!

The exhibit opens Saturday with a variety of presentations, demonstrations and hands-on opportunities. And we have a BOGO ticket deal for Go Ask Mom readers! This deal is limited to the first 50 people, so don't wait to claim yours!

Here's the deal: Buy one ticket, get one ticket free by mentioning Go Ask Mom when you visit the museum's box office to buy tickets or when you call the box office at 919-707-9950. One free ticket is available per transaction. Tickets are $5 (and free for museum members).

There's also a separate deal for pre-registered youth groups visiting American Adventure. They can attend one of the museum's 3D movies the same day at no additional charge. So youth groups could see both the exhibit and a 3D movie for $5 per person. That might make a great field trip for day camps! This deal runs the entire run of the exhibit, which closes Sept. 7. The museum's website has more information.
