GREENSBORO, N.C. — An Amber Alert issued for a missing 2-month-old in Guilford County was canceled just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, Joseph Richardson Pearson was believed to be with his parents, Jimmy Ray Pearson and Allissa Corrinne Fink when the Amber Alert was issued Tuesday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, Pearson and Fink brought their child to UNC Hospitals on Oct. 17. Hospital officials were concerned about the child's injuries and contacted the Department of Social Services. DSS officials contacted the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, which then issued a non-secure custody order for the child.

Captain Robert Hamilton with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office said surgery was performed on Joseph Pearson at UNC Hospitals, but would not go into detail about his injuries. He said he does not believe Fink and Jimmy Pearson left the hospital with consent.

Guilford County authorities went to look for Pearson and Fink on Monday, and when they could not be found at their home at 814 Robbs Court in Greensboro, an Amber Alert was issued.

Joseph Pearson was found with Fink in Randolph County. Authorities did not release his condition or details on how he was located.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office did not say whether or not Fink and Jimmy Pearson would face charges.
