The hockey brothers held hands and jumped over some bamboo during this leg in Vietnam.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The teams traveled to Vietnam this week for an unusual stage play and some grocery shopping!

First, Dave and Connor (father-son team) announced that they would be traveling to Vietnam, but ending their race there so Dave could have surgery on his torn Achilles. They went out on top and will likely be asked to come back during an "All-Stars" edition of the show in the future.

With them gone and Jess and John out, the original alliance started to crumble. Do alliances really work on that show anyway? In the end, you can't stand around waiting for another team to finish their task. You have to play separately at some point.

In Vietnam, the teams had to watch a musical stage show (that was apparently about communism) and remember the Vietnamese phrase that appeared on the tops of the umbrellas at the end. Then, they had to go to the lobby and find a sign that had that phrase on it. It was tough enough that some teams had to watch the show a few times.

Then, it was time to hold hands the jump over some bamboo sticks.

Next, they had to tackle arranging a human chess board or going shopping at the local outdoor market for the ingredients to make chicken Pho, a popular Vietnamese dish.

Hockey brothers, Anthony and Bates Battaglia, opted for the chess board and they seemed to sail through it. But not faster than BFFs Pamela and Winnie who finished first this leg. I have no idea what happened to the Battaglias after they left the chess challenge second, but they somehow managed to finish fourth - behind the newlyweds and roller derby moms Mona and Beth.

This was also the leg of the dreaded double U-Turn. (U-Turns allow one team to send another team back to complete the other challenge.)

The BFFs knew they were in first, but wanted to keep team YouTube at bay and opted to use it on them. So YouTube had to go back and do the second challenge, in this case, the chicken Pho.

YouTube used the second available U-Turn on the only team they believed to be behind them - Team Mullet.

Team Mullet really struggled when they had to go back and shop for the Pho. They couldn't even find the market. It was disastrous!

After a rough time, they completed the challenge only to find out that this was a non-elimination leg due to David and Connor's departure.

Will Team Mullet get it together next week?
