Anyone who has more than one child knows how rare it is to spend dedicated one-on-one time with one child.

This is especially true for people who have more than two children and the parents are outnumbered.

In a very rare moment in time, I have my oldest child with me for an entire week. We are heading up the East Coast on a college tour. In between our stops, we will be visiting with friends and family. But we will no doubt spends hours in the car together as we drive hundreds of miles to complete our journey.

What will talk about? I'm not sure. She's not big on sharing with me. But maybe as the seemingly endless miles spread out before us, there will be some meaningful conversations. At the very least, maybe I will get some insight into the complicated mind of a teenager.

Either way, we will be together, one-on-one, for a week - mother and daughter, Thelma and Louise, sharing a moment in time that I'm sure will be memorable in more ways than one.

Wish me luck!
