    Thanks for proving my point!

Our sisters love Aldi. I find I save just as much buying what's on sale at Food Lion, and I don't have to pack my groceries myself, though sometimes I choose to because too few young cashiers nowadays seem to understand what packs well with what, what gets crushed when packed with what, and what items easily can cause cross-contamination, sickness, even death.

Garner is a Walmart kind of town, thanks for the article, at least a few people who read this blog may try out the Aldi, but it will be difficult to bring that segment of society to shop in a European style market.

jdouglas13 - oh nooooooooo! That is a bummer on the naughty pup's new routine. Clearly this is your punishment for leaving him. lol Looking forward to seeing you again. :-)

I'll definitely let you know. I might actually be able to get there in time to get one of the tickets. Our Scottie girl has put herself on a new, MUCH earlier, morning wakeup time every since we boarded her at the vet over the holidays. And she learned how to scream while she was there, too. So cute NOT lol! ;)

jdouglas13 - honestly - I have no idea how early you should be there. They did not do the golden ticket thing at the last few Triangle Aldi openings. They gave away cloth Aldi bags at those and they were still packed at the opening. Let me know if you go for the opening so I can find you. :-)

I'm very excited to have the new Aldi opening this week. How early do you think we need to get there to be one of the first 100 people?

The culmination of a 6-year dream!

acs0427 - The last Aldi opening I was at was packed. There were tons of people so plan to get there early if you want to be one of the first 100. Come say hi if you make it. I'll be there somewhere.

LuvinCam - I agree! I am so glad to have an Aldi close enough that I can go each week.
