Several months ago I bought a grill that was a special. I did not keep the receipt or packaging. I finally used it and it was a disaster. Even though it was well spread ad immediately cleaned, the steaks stuck terribly. l Couldn't get it completely cleaned. Has anyone had experience in returning items in a similar condition

meganbparks - I agree with everyone else's positive Aldi comments. You should definitely give it a try. I am really looking forward to the Garner location to open.

Did someone say cheesecake, raesmom??!! lol

megan~ with a toddler at home (and a hubby with the metabolism of a teenager lol) buying the produce and eating it soon after is not an issue. I have an Adli right across the street from my job and I go at least twice a week to get bananas, grapes, blueberries and strawberries. In the summer time they have cheesecake (two individual slices, right now they have the big one with like 10 slices, totally do not need that) Oh My Word....to die for (or maybe I just LOVE cheesecake way too much) I also get the fit and active microwave meals for a quick (and cheap) lunch. I'm with the others, give ALDI a try!!

meganbparks- We shop at ALDI on a weekly basis. We actually have to drive to the next town over which is only about 25 minutes from my home but it is so worth it. In fact, I just returned from there. The quality will NOT disappoint you but if for some reason you are not satisfied with a product Aldi has a money back guarantee, so nothing is lost! We love the wide variety of chips and the prices on them are awesome. I would definitely recommend that you give 'em a try!

    megan -

I don't usually buy the meats because I can usually get better sale prices elsewhere, but their other stuff that are their name brands have a double guarantee. Just save your receipt, and if you don't like it, head back to the store. You get your money back plus a free replacement.

Thank you so much! That makes me feel better! I guess I just need to try it out!!

meganparks, I shop at Aldi and love it. Have found lots of items similar to Traders Joe's but for less money. The more I shop Aldi the better I like it. You are overthinking the name brand aspect. There was an article a year or so ago in a magazine like Fortune and they talked at length about the name brand manufacturers that made food for Alsi and just slapped the Aldi brand on it instead of a name brand. Quality there is pretty high with the exception being the produce which you pretty much have to anticipate a shorter shelf life and plan to use it more quickly than say HT produce. But the prices make it worth the trouble to navigate. I felt the same way when I first went there, like a foreign world, but it has great deals and good products.

Do any of my fellow couponers frequently shop at Aldi? I have one close by but have never actually shopped there. I guess it just worries me to grocery shop at a place that isn't "name brand" am I thinking too much into it?!? I really want to stock up on chicken at that good price but it just worries me!!
