beadhive-did you speak to an employee and make sure they were actually out of the chicken and not that they just didn't receive or have a chance to put out the shipment? they will continue to honor the price until the stock is gone (they come prelabeled with the price/lb, so they ring up whatever the label says), so if they didn't get it or have more in the back you should be able to get some. I'd call the store to confirm that they don't have any.

beadhive, that IS sad since it's only good for one day and they're out by lunch? Sounds like they weren't too prepared.

  • beadhive May 15, 2013

They were out of chicken in Cary when I went over my lunch break. Sad!

I got the chicken deal at lunch...the fresh chicken that is. The chicken looks really, really good!

Thanks freedomrings - not sure what math I was using but it was rather late last night so I'll blame it on sleepy eyes! :-) Changing the price right now.

  • freedomrings May 15, 2013

I believe there's a math error on the 48 ounce bag of chicken listed above. For 48 ounces at $6.49 a bag, that would be $2.14 a lb, not $1.62 a lb.

I'm horrible with meat prices...I always look for the "good price" when Faye lists the meat prices... the I KNOW it's in fact a "good price". lol

I'm snagging up that chicken deal as well!

packy-that isn't that great of a price on the mince.

I'm happy to see those chicken breasts on sale! We juse used our last ones last week from the last time Aldi had them on sale so this is perfect timing!

I think Costco has 93/7 for $2.99/lb, in 5-6lb packages.

    Ground beef patties, 85/15, 3 lb bag, $8.99 ($3/lb)

    is this a decent deal?
