ALDI deals: Sweet potatoes, pears, grapes & more!

Aldi deals this week include sweet potatoes for .33/lb, pears for .50/lb and grapes for .99/lb!  These deals are valid 10/10 - 10/16.

Weekly deals

Sweet potatoes, 3 lb bag, .99 (great deal!)

Pears, 3 lb bag, $1.49, (.50/lb is a great deal for pears!)

Red or green grapes, 2 lb bag, $1.98 (.99/lb - good deal)

Pumpkins, $2.99 each

Happy Harvest cut sweet potatoes, 29 oz., $1

Wednesday meat deal: Tyson pot roast with vegetables, 2.76 lbs, $7.99
 

Reminders:

* ALDI does not accept manufacturer coupons

* You will need to bring your own bags to bag your groceries. They do not provide any.

* If you wish to use a grocery cart, you will need to deposit a quarter into the cart machine and you will get it back when you return the cart.

* They accept cash, debit and EBT cards as forms of payment. They do not accept credit cards or checks.

    Last week I bought a bag of pears at Aldi, and they are just getting ripe now. Wow, are they good! They are among the best pears I have ever eaten -- I would say they are better than Harry and David -- tangy, but sweet. I bought them because they were smaller than most you find at the store, and I usually prefer smaller fruit to bigger fruit.

    Aldi has pineapples for $1.19 each still.

    Navy Mom-I cut them in cubes before freezing. Just cut up the pineapple, lay on a cookie sheet, cover with saran wrap, and freeze. This way each cube freezes indivually. Once frozen, put in zip loc bags. Occasionally I will put a little pectin, but not always. It keeps its shape well, tastes almost just as good as fresh, and is great in smoothies or fruit salad! I bought a lot of them because I have numerous baby showers to host the next couple months.

    Nakabi - do you freeze whole pinapple or do you slice them up before you freeze?

    lol@Packy-yes, I bought 15:) I didn't grow up eating candy/desserts/sweets and instead grew up eating lots of fruits so that's what my kids are growing up eating. We eat A LOT of fruits and vegetables and freeze a lot of them. Pineapples freeze well and I use them later on when they aren't in season.

    Between the grapes this week, the 15 pineapples I bought last week, mangoes, & blueberries, it looks like fruit salad will be on the menu this weekend..YAY!
