Alabama teen arrested after parents fatally shot

ECLECTIC, Ala. — Authorities say a central Alabama teenager is in jail after an apparent dispute over a house party led to the shooting deaths of his parents.
Elmore County Chief Deputy Ricky Lowery says 17-year-old Jesse Holton is charged with murder as an adult in the slaying of his father, former Eclectic mayor Mike Holton.
Lowery says authorities also will charge the teen in the death of his mother, April Holton.
Both husband and wife were 37. Authorities say they were shot on Sunday.
Sheriff Bill Franklin says the parents were away and returned home to find their house in disarray after a party that apparently included drugs. The sheriff says the parents were shot to death after calling sheriff's deputies.
Court records aren't available to show whether Holton has a lawyer.
