Raleigh, N.C. — One adult and one child were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a wreck involving a car and a school bus on Peace Street, Raleigh police said.
Officers responded to the scene, near the intersection of Capital Boulevard north of downtown, about 7:45 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, police said. A child on the bus was also transported, although police said the child's injuries were believed to be minor.
Peace Street is closed between Capital Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue. Motorists should avoid the area.
