FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police filed charges Monday against a woman who was a witness to a botched home invasion last week.

Barbara Ann Bunnell, 26, whose last known address is 2597 Pinecrest Drive, faces a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said two women were outside 299 Decatur Drive on Aug. 1 when a man forced them inside the home at gunpoint.

Mikey Deshannon Campbell, 36, came out of a bedroom with a shotgun and fired twice, hitting the attacker in the side, said Dan Grubb of the Fayetteville Police Department.

The suspect, Armon Leroi Mattox, 27, of 1508 Palmer Drive, and an accomplice, Kendall Leon Wortham, 27, of 238 Partners Way, were both charged the next day.

According to police records, Bunnell has a history of reckless driving and assault charges. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 910-483-8477.

Police did not say how or if Bunnell knew the two men charged in the crime.
