A laptop battery recall has expanded to include 83,000 additional battery packs.

According to officials, Panasonic battery packs used in Toshiba laptops can overheat and catch fire. Panasonic has five reports of the pack overheating and melting.

No injuries have occurred as a result of the issue.

The first recall on the battery packs was in March. That recall included 91,000 batteries.
