Here's something else I heard about tubbed dairy items like sour cream, yogurt, etc. They are supposed to last longer if you store them in the refrigerator lid down. Not sure how much more time it will buy you. The tubs I picked up at HT today were marked Jan 20, 2017. There is a limit of 4, so don't think you have to worry about stocking up too much. I'll definitely eat them before they expire :-)

Hey Faye, I was thinking about the HT digital coupon + the newspaper coupon + the upromise would trigger a moneymaker, but if you had savingstar it might work in place of upromise, but the coupon might not be there in savingstar. I've noticed that sometimes offers are available in one, but not the other.

Amomoftwo - according to Eatbydate.com, here's the scoop on sour cream dates: "Sour cream lasts for 1-2 weeks beyond the date printed on the container if unopened, about a week beyond if opened close to the date. " Hope that helps! :-)

vlynn - Upromise and Savingstar deals cannot be coupled. :-( Thanks for mentioning it though in case there are those who prefer upromise to savingstar. Here's the info from the Savingstar website:

"SavingStar provides the grocery offers for the Upromise service. You may register for both the Upromise and SavingStar, including registering your same store loyalty cards in each service. However, you may only activate a particular offer in one service during a single promotion period. In the future, you’ll see SavingStar powering other rewards services as well."

There's a upromise deal on Progresso for $1 off 2 items which can be soup I think. This might be a savingstar deal, too. So if you can use all the deals together it can end up being a money maker!
