Actress, artist Jane Seymour to stop in Raleigh, children's program planned

Jane Seymour, the actress and artist, will lead a special program for kids later this month at the Mahler Fine Art Gallery in Raleigh.

Jane Seymour, the actress and artist, will lead a special program for kids later this month at the Mahler Fine Art Gallery in Raleigh.
The gallery will show Seymour's paintings from this Saturday to March 1. From 11 a.m. to noon, Feb. 28, she'll lead a children's program where she'll talk about her Open Hearts Foundation and philosophy. She'll also engage the kids in a small art project.

Seymour, who has won multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards for her work in film and movies, has played roles as varied as a Bond girl in "Live and Let Die" to Dr. Quinn in "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," which was set in Colorado in the 1800s. She also is a painter in watercolors and oils and a designer and involved in a variety of charitable causes.

Her paintings will be for sale at the art gallery during the exhibition. The public also is invited to meet her during events from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 28, and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., March 1.
