Accountant Charged With Forgery
A Fayetteville accountant was arrested Thursday on charged she forged checks on a client's account, authorities said.

Cassandra Cruz, 43, is charged with eight counts each of forgery and uttering.
Investigators said she took more than $12,000 from First Citizens Bank over several weeks by cashing checks drawn on the account of a family-care facility. One of the checks was to pay for her father's funeral, authorities said.
