RALEIGH, N.C. — A crash on Creedmoor Road just north of the City of Raleigh border Friday afternoon detoured northbound drivers throughout the afternoon rush hour.

Delays began just before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Creedmoor and Southampton Drive.

Three people – two from one car and one from another – were taken to area hospital.

State troopers said the driver of a black sedan, Cecilia Ryanor, failed to yield the right-of-way to a red Mustang convertible, turning into the path of the Mustang, driven by Michael Prince, in attempting a left turn.

Raynor, 47, of Raleigh and her passenger were transported to WakeMed with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Prince of Raleigh was transported to REX Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The road reopened just after 6 p.m.
