About $26 million in funding announced for Arkansas projects

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Delta Regional Authority says nearly $26 million will be invested in Arkansas for projects aimed at driving economic growth and improving infrastructure.
The authority announced the funding Monday alongside Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. The $26 million includes money awarded by the Delta Regional Authority and public and private funding sources.
Officials say the projects will create or retain an estimated 650 jobs in the state. The funding includes $8.4 million for a wastewater treatment facility in Bull Shoals, $6.5 million for an aquatics and multipurpose center in downtown Pine Bluff, nearly $4 million for road improvements in Monticello, $1.7 million to build a manufacturing training center at South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado and $1 million for an expansion at Excel Boats in Stone County.
