Aberdeen man allegedly assaults wife with knife

— An Aberdeen man is accused of assaulting his wife with a knife Tuesday, investigators said Thursday.

Jon Bruce Sheroff, 71, of 202 Buckler Ave., was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was arrested Wednesday and held at the Moore County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.

Authorities responded to 105 Sheroff Lane in West End Tuesday and found Margaret Sheroff, 70, with cuts to her face, arms and chest. She was transported to Moore Regional Hospital for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

Jon Sheroff and his wife were not living together at the time, authorities said.

    This proves the fact that if someone wants to kill someone else, they don't need a gun. If you still want to oppose the ownership of guns, you must also oppose the ownership of knives. Then cars, swords, rocks, and even water, (people do kill by drowning". Where does your madness end?
