A Reminder to Call Before You Dig!

We know how it goes. You've got a major project and you're excited about it, so you can't wait to bust out the shovels and get to it. That's applicable whether you're a homeowner getting started on a new deck or, you know, a Caltrain crew with a multimillion dollar contract.
Said Caltrain crew has the smell of rotten egg on their faces this morning after they busted a gas line in San Bruno late last night while working. Fortunately the leak was capped within a few hours, but in gas-uneasy San Bruno, the smell is lingering and residents are not, shall we say, terribly pleased with the situation.
It's a reminder that San Francisco plumbers and other plumbing professionals keep trying to drive home to their customers: always call before you dig! The 811 program provides information on buried gas and other utility lines so people can dig safely.

Always know what's below, because if you get into trouble, it might endanger you and your family.
