DURHAM, N.C. — Fans of PBS' A Chef's Life will want to head to the Bull City this September to help kick off the show's fifth season. There will be a screening of the season's first episode and Q&A with star and chef Vivian Howard and the show's director at Carolina Theatre in Durham Sept. 10.
General admission tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., but a limited number of VIP tickets are available now for $125 each. Each VIP ticket includes brunch at Piedmont with chef John May, who has also appeared on A Chef's Life, and reserved seating at the screening.

A Chef's Life follows Howard as she searches for ingredients throughout North Carolina farms for her restaurant's seasonal menus. Howard owns the Chef and the Farmer in Kinston and won the Southern Book Prize in cooking for her book, Deep Run Roots.
