A break from the heat: Cooler temps breeze into Monday
A cold front moved into the area Sunday night, bringing with it a break from heat and humidity that will last for most of the work week.

On Sunday, highs were in the mid to upper-90s, but Monday will be much more pleasant. Highs will top out in the mid-80s and remain much cooler than weekend temperatures for the start of the week.
Skies will be clear and sunny Monday, and overnight lows will fall into the mid-60s for the first time in months.
"Dew points are dropping along with temperatures," said WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner.
Dew points indicate how much moisture is in the atmosphere. "For the last few weeks, dew points have been mainly in the 70s," Gardner said. "The drop into the 60s this morning feels more pleasant. We may see it drop into the 50s this afternoon which will be a nice break from the oppressive humidity we've felt lately."
Temperatures won't reach 90 again until Thursday and Friday, but, even then, lows will drop down into the low 60s.
