Cooking for A Classic is a unique philanthropic event, featuring the talents of 16 local and regional chefs competing to win a beautifully restored classic car over the course of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in February and March of 2017. Each chef was chosen through an application process, and tasked with creating a three-course small-plate menu plus a signature cocktail, wine and beer pairing. The chefs compete in pairs, with guests of each event voting for their favorite menu of the evening, and the winner advancing to the next round. At the end of four tournament or "sweet sixteen" rounds, the chosen champion receives a 1969 restored Corvette Stingray! 100% of the proceeds of this event go in support of Lucy Daniels Center, a therapeutic education setting and mental health treatment facility for children of preschool through elementary school age. LDC serves more than 700 children and their families each year. Approximately 70% of these families pay less than actual costs, and one in six receives services for free, in part as a result of financial support from events like this. Collaboration among hospitality vendors, chefs, guests and other supporters makes this distinctive event a success! Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30 seating for each event. Please be sure to bring a smart phone, tablet or other internet-ready device to enable voting. Please be aware that scheduling issues may arise, and an alternate chef may compete on a specific date. If you would like to be seated with specific other guests, we suggest you buy your tickets together if at all possible. While we will try to accommodate special seating requests as much as we can, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee all requests will be granted. In case of inclement weather, a snow date will be determined. Guests will be notified by email in this event. All ticket prices include two 3-course small plate dinners and accompanying beverage pairings, served side by side, plus ticket service fee. Tax and gratuity are not included. Please see chart below for complete ticket cost. $99 + gratuity + tax = $123.50 $125 + gratuity + tax = $155.94 $150 + gratuity + tax = $187.13 $175 + gratuity + tax = $218.31
