Gonza Tacos & Tequila is not the most centrally located restaurant, but what it lacks in accessibility, it makes up for in excellence. Gonza tacos have lightly golden, quasi-soft flour tortillas that are excellent in size and thickness. But inside, the simple combination of the pico de gallo and cheese in moderate, addictive proportions accent the spiced meats perfectly. The avocado wedge in each taco is a perfect touch. If you find yourself wondering on Lead Mine Road, stop in. If you have a driver, try some of the dozens of tequilas. Gonza gets bonus points for atmosphere, too.

First rate Mexican/Columbian restaurant offering a limited menu of rather simpler dishes but, all with a understated yet uniquely blended flavor. The tacos are simply excellent. Best of any Mexican restaurant in Raleigh.....bar none. The owner Goza is from Columbia and moves around speaking to everyone. The place appears to be managed well. A typical lunch will include three small tacos, rice or other side, chips and freshly made salsa with drink of your choice all for under $10.
