Restaurant specialties include chilled cucumber soup and mandarin mojito which I am told are fabulous especially on a hot summer evening. Next time I will try pan roasted North Carolina trout or the cornmeal-crusted Carolina classics catfish. The restaurant also features a number of Tar Heel ingredients in its desserts

Week in /out best restaurant in Raleigh, food is always consistent and affordable. Jason Smith, owner and chef is very personable and walks around to great/ meet his guests. I have been dining here ~5 plus years on a regular basis. They use many NC -based products and support local farmers/ producers / seafood/ beef etc products so another great reason to dine here. Their menu changes seasonally as well, many in Raleigh do not. You can taste the difference in fresh , local ingredients.
