Sundays at our Nana’s house were special days. It began when we entered Nana’s house and the smell of the ‘gravy’ simmering on the stove would greet us at the door. Nana would fly out of the kitchen to pinch our cheeks and lead us to the table full of food saying “mangia, mangia."

Since 2000, when chef/owner Corbett Monica and his wife Julie opened the doors to this neighborhood trattoria, Bella Monica has become an extension of Nana’s table. So please, enjoy our food and the company you share.

Eat here if you want a top-notch Italian meal. The place is small and was packed, so we had to eat at the bar, but the food, service, atmosphere and wine were so good, we didn't mind. The bartender was knowledgeable enough to listen to our vague wine request and select a perfect wine to match. Simple spaghetti & meatballs was perfection, as was the rustic bread served with the meal. Take your date here!
