It may be called The Third Place, but it should easily be the first place you think of when you want to meet a friend for coffee, get a study session in, escape from the office or turn some pages in a good book. Truly a local coffeehouse, The Third Place is set in a nondescript spot along Glenwood Avenue, but its presence under those green awnings is well known to the locals.
We can probably all admit venturing into the standard chain coffee shop, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if it's a cozy ambience and eclectic atmosphere you are seeking, then this is the coffeehouse for you. Not too hipster for the mainstream crowd, yet not too mundane for the free spirit, The Third Place possesses a balanced quality of communal intimacy that gives life to this friendly social environment. And with artwork from local artists adorning the interior walls, visits to The Third Place always promise a visual treat.
Feeding the locals' caffeine cravings with Larry's Coffee, some may be so bold as to claim that this place causes more stirs with its food than beverages. With a menu of uniquely-crafted sandwiches, thoughtful vegetarian fare and delectable desserts and pastries, breakfast and lunch (and don't forget brunch) are something to experience.
