Loi Loi is electronic synth-pop duo of Kristie (vocals, keyboards, synthesizers), and Johnny (Electribes, backing vocals). The real-life siblings started creating music as Loi Loi four years ago in China, where Kristie paired Mandarin compositions with radical experimental sounds. Loi Loi continued to develop in Spain, mixing original Spanish lyrics with an eclectic background of rock and roll, R&B, electronic, and soul influences. Loi Loi embraces an economical setup but maximizes on a suite of atmospheric effects, original samples, and a multi-tiered song structure.
Their new album, “Viva La Vulva” can be found at loiloi.bandcamp.com.
The Electric Grandmother is a husband-wife duo known for their energetic multimedia shows, with music and visuals exhibiting self-made subgenre, Sitcom-Core. “Cancelled,” their ninth studio album brings a darker and richer sound, telling the story of a man whose sanity is threatened by the cancellation of his favorite TV cop drama. The Electric Grandmother started in Hawaii and now based in Washington, DC.
