The next TTJS concert will be on Sunday, October 23 starting at 2:00. It will be held at the Glenwood Club at 3300 Womans Club Drive in Raleigh and feature Jim Ritter, trumpet player of the internationally known Buck Creek Jazz Band, as our invited artist. Backup will be provided by our local Touch of Dixie band. Free snacks will be provided and a cash bar will be available. A dance floor will also be available. There will be a brief presentation on the history and techniques of traditional jazz at the beginning of the concert. Following the concert will be a session where attendees are invited to bring their instruments and play with the invited artist and the backup band. Tickets will be $15 General Admission, $10 for TTJS Members, and $5 for Students. You may purchase tickets here, or at the door the day of the event (subject to availability). We encourage you to support our traditional jazz community by becoming a TTJS member. The cost is only $30 and entitles you to discounts for all TTJS events.
