PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN DEVICE (laptop, smart phone, tablet etc.) as equipment will not be provided. Join us for this hands-on course that will cover the rudimentary basics of Facebook for the new Facebook learner. Topics include: Signing up for Facebook, getting your ‘page’; Posting “What’s on your mind”; Adding pictures; Adding videos; Finding friends; and, How to get help. Use Facebook to renew old acquaintances and to catch up with friends and family you haven’t seen or heard from in years!
Ken Yow is a retired Systems Support Manager with UNC’s Office of Information Technology Services, where he served for over 38 years. He managed a staff of twelve IT professionals who provided support to over 3,000 staff and senior administrators at UNC-Chapel Hill, including the Office of the Chancellor and the Office of the Provost; as well as the IT teams that support the major sporting events at UNC. He has a BS in Business Administration from UNC–Chapel Hill and a Masters in Project Management from Western Carolina University. He has won several state and local awards, including the Governor’s Award for Excellence. His hobbies include walking and playing rock & roll, country and delta blues music.
