Primitive Ways presents: Artificial Brain: spacey technical blackened death metal insanity. Musicality is not sacrificed in the name of dissonance or technicality and the dark soul of the machine penetrates its mechanical exoskeleton. Come revel in the dystopian future of heavy metal! Pyrrhon: experimental metal incorporating twisted math, evil noise and a mad scientist kind of dementia. "Uh...lo-fi tech metal...? Is that a thing?" Colin Marston Priapus: Triad area death grind. We are very pleased to have our favorite dads coming to town to blow out a few ear drums. Deathcrown: when tours collide! With co-headliners that present the bleak future of heavy metal, one must remember the past and relive it and revel in it. Richmond's Deathcrown pay homage to the origins of death metal with full on fury. These boys aren't young dudes who listened to their dad's Obituary records and liked it, they grew up on death metal and play OSDM with the ferocity that only old school death metal dudes can. Recommended if you like the finer things about the early nineties and not the trendy horseshit. Datura - NC: a heavy metal stew with big meaty chunks of death metal in a sauce of doom with tasty proggy bits thrashed up for your enjoyment. live at The Maywood Saturday April 29, 2017 658 Maywood Avenue - Raleigh, NC 8p doors, 8:30p show ages 21+ Tickets: $10 advance // $15 day of show. ** Use venue front door for entry to this show ** DIRECTIONS: The Maywood is located inside the Raleigh beltline, right off I-40 at exit 297, Lake Wheeler Road.
