Dishcrawl through Durham's Five Points

Posted June 18, 2013

— Get ready to dine in Durham!

Dishcrawl, a company that organizes "restaurant crawls," is putting together a culinary tour through Durham's Five Points neighborhood next month.

The tours are designed to allow chefs to showcase their unique dishes and give them a chance to talk to guests about the food. On the tour, you'll get special attention from restaurant staff while they explain the food and answer questions.

A small plate is served at each restaurant, so guests get to sample the highlights from each venue. After everyone is done eating, the group walks over to the next restaurant.

Out & About was invited to several Dishcrawl events in downtown Raleigh, and we had such a great time visiting new restaurants and meeting new people. We can't wait to head to Durham!

The Five Points Feast is Wednesday, July 10, at 7 p.m., and tickets are $45. Attendees will visit four restaurants. Although the restaurants are kept a secret until the last minute, Dishcrawl sends out hints on Twitter and Facebook, so stay tuned!

Recently, we suggested some spots to hit when visiting the newly named "South's Tastiest Town." Check out our picks!
