9-year-old boy hit by Durham school bus

Durham, N.C. — A 9-year-old boy suffered injuries to his leg and face Thursday morning after he was hit by a school bus when he darted across the street, officials said.
The boy was hit just before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Juniper Street and North Hyde Park Avenue, according to Durham police. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Police said it appears the boy tried to run across the street and was hit by the bus.
