RALEIGH, N.C. — Several people were hospitalized Wednesday night following a crash in northeast Raleigh.

Authorities said a Jeep and a truck collided head-on just after 9 p.m. on Southall Road.

Seven people, including at least three children, were taken to WakeMed. The extent of their injuries were unknown.

Southall Road remained closed between East Hampton road and Castle Brook Drive while authorities cleared the scene.

Authorities said that divers tend to underestimate the road, which dips down before a slight incline. It is unknown if speed was a factor in the crash.
