SALISBURY, MD — Perdue Farms Inc. has voluntarily recalled more than 24,000 pounds of chicken breasts that did not list milk among the ingredients.
The recall includes 1,716 cases of 28.8 ounce of Perdue Perfect Portions Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts with "sell or freeze by" dates from Feb. 2 to Feb. 6 on the back of the bag.
Because of a packing error, Italian Style chicken breasts were packed in a bag that says Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts with no flavor designated.
The Italian Style product contains a milk allergen that was not declared on the bag as used.
The company said there have been no reports of illness from the product.
The recalled packages have the UPC bar code 72745-06819 on the back of the package. The establishment number is EST P-7903.
Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
