WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Updating a story 5 On Your Side first reported last year, the Wake Forest location of Beyond Fitness never opened and didn't deliver refunds promised to dozens of prepaid members.
Now, the chain is doing business under the name So-Fit. That company paid the North Carolina Attorney General's Office $38,000 toward refunds. People who contacted the Attorney General's Office or the toll-free number set up by the company will be sent claim forms next week, officials said.
Anyone due a refund who hasn't called yet can call 800-856-1232.
