Wakefield closed July 9th.. it was our closest Kroger :( we have now converted to HT and Aldi shoppers

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Aug 15, 2011

I think Wakefield Kroger has now closed, Mrs Gaskilll - but someone else confirm that for her who lives there.

Thomas - they have run these sales on 2 or 3 great deals for ONLY the Creedmor stores for a few weeks now and I am also not amused. It is very deceptive to slap it on the front of the ad but put the disclaimer in such small print. At the bottom of the good deals list above, I listed the 2 deals good only at those stores. It is definitely worth your time to call corporate and express your displeasure with the very small disclaimer on the ad and the fact that they are only offering the deal in 2 stores out of all the stores in the area. I think it is time for me to make another call as well.

is the wakefield kroger store still closing or has it closed?

  • Nancy Aug 15, 2011

thomas, I noticed the fine print when I read the ad online - thought it was deceptive as well. But as long as that fine print is there, they're covered :(

But sales of the watermelon at stores other than Creedmore will no doubt reflect they didn't fool many with that ploy.

    As always, Caveat Emptor!

Anyone notice how Kroger had as their lead item in their flyer Sunday a Seedless watermelon for 2.99 and then at the bottom in very small print they had only for Creedmore Road stores, everywhere else 4.99. This was no doubt done intentionally and is nothing but corporate greed. Store employees told me they had several complaints. This one goes to the AG's office for whatever good that may do. This was Kroger Corporate, not the local store management.

aaliyahsmom - that was a coupon found in a recent coupon insert from the Sunday papers, it's not a printable if I recall correctly.

  • aaliyahsmom1 Aug 14, 2011

Apparently I don't have the coupon for the 35 cent off for Dial. Does anyone know where I can print it off at?

    Thank you
